The Grasslands Road "Sing to the new day" Ceramic 8" Collectable Decor Plate is a beautifully crafted round plate featuring a bird, perfect for all occasions. The beautiful wide rim in beautiful shades of gold and amber feature an embossed display of beautiful leaves accenting the center focus. Made in the United States, this uplifting and inspirational decor piece is a charming addition to any collection. The plate comes with a stand included, making it easy to display and enjoy the art pottery production technique used to create this unique collectible. I know years ago plate collecting was an "in thing." You found a plate you loved and then had to finagle it into a metal contraption that many times resulted in chipping around the edges of the plate. Kitchens were often targeted for displaying, and in addition to chipping, many ended up grease stained. No wonder the plates fell out of fashion. Today, many are choosing to use a simple stand to hold and display their decorative, inspiring plates. And they can be displayed ANYWHERE. The living room, the dining room, bedrooms, hallways, foyers, the choices are endless. I displayed this piece in one of my hallways... the inspirational plate along with a sweet, little bird with wings and tail replicating the leaves of a tree. He will be traveling to you with the plate and the plate stand. I passed the small display each morning as I passed through the hall and started my day with an upbeat start: "Sing to the new day." Time to pass them on to a new owner to love and enjoy.
