Description:
Lot of 6 SN74LS245N octal bus transceivers in 20-pin DIP packages, mixed brands (Texas Instruments, ST, etc.) with late-80s/early-90s date codes. These classic 74LS-series buffer/transceiver ICs are used to isolate and drive 8-bit data buses in microprocessor, memory and I/O designs. Parts are new old stock (NOS) from surplus foam trays; bodies may show minor cosmetic marks from long storage, but leads are full length and have never been soldered. Sold as untested vintage components.

Modern uses:
- Buffering and isolating 8-bit data buses in retro computer and single-board computer projects
- Repair of vintage PCs, arcade boards, pinball machines and industrial controllers that use 74LS245 bus transceivers
- General 5 V TTL bus interface, level isolation and direction control between subsystems
- Stocking parts drawers for common 74LS-series “glue logic” in labs and repair shops

Compatibility note:
These are SN74LS245N 5 V TTL octal bus transceivers in 20-pin DIP packages with tri-state outputs, one direction-control pin and one active-low output-enable pin. They are generally drop-in compatible with other 74LS245/DM74LS245/HD74LS245 DIP-20 parts, but always verify your board’s required logic family, supply voltage (5 V), pinout and propagation delay against the original IC and the datasheet. Not suitable as a replacement for CMOS 74HC245/74HCT245 in low-power or 3.3 V-only designs without checking logic-level compatibility.
