A rare and original pair of camouflage trousers from the former nation of Zaire (now Democratic Republic of Congo). The camouflage design is a kind of "leaf" pattern, similar to (and probably based on) the American M-1948 ERDL pattern, but with slightly different shapes and a very different color palette. This pattern has been documented in use with the 41st Kisangani (Commando) Brigade as well as elements of the Garde Presidentielle (Presidential Guards) and possibly some airborne personnel as well. In my experience, this is the rarest and most difficult camouflage pattern to come out of Zaire. Heavy twill fabric with only a small size label inside. Measurements are up to 36" waist, and 33" inseam. Condition is very good to excellent. Looks to have been washed & worn a couple of times, but no signs of heavy use, damage, or serious wear.
