This vintage lace border was made in the mid-20th century in the bobbin lace-making region of Retournac, Haute-Loire, France. Produced from cotton, it features an openwork mesh design with a defined woven band through the center and scalloped edging along one side.
As an edging lace, it is well-suited for finishing hems, sleeves, collars, and household textiles. It can also be used for costume design, historical garments, or to add a decorative border to linens, tablecloths, and creative sewing projects.
Photos show the lace accurately, and a video is available for a closer look at texture and details.
At Bobbins&Needles, I take pride in sourcing and curating the best quality materials for my customers. I am confident that it will exceed your expectations. So why settle for mass-produced lace when you can have a one-of-a-kind piece that adds character and charm to your creations?
