How to do When Malfunctions Occur:
When malfunctions occur in the ignition coils and their circuitry ,Check that the spark occurs. If the spark does not occur ,go to the four steps as follows .
- Check the wirings and the connectors between the engine ignition coils and the ECU.
- Check the engine ECU.
- Check the wirings and the connectors between the engine ignition coil and the ECU
- Check the wirings and the connectors of all ignition coils.
Tips:
When replacing spark plug wires or coil wires, it is best to place a small amount of dielectric grease in the wire's boot. This will make removal of the wire much easier as well as protect the wire from moisture. The grease also makes sliding the new wire boots onto the terminals much simpler.
