For your consideration is an old painted trim piece from a house, I’m guessing 1890s or thereabouts. It has original chipping paint and is uniformly weathered. The top surface is flat, measuring 2 inches wide, and could be used as the surface for a shelf of sorts. It measures 31 inches long and 5 5/8 inches tall. I’m including two hangers and vintage screws (from my small parts collection) for you to hang this piece, if you choose to go that route.
