There’s a lot of lore and legend around Wendell Harrison and ‘The Tribe’ (his band) and Detroits jazz scene in general in the 70s. This albums justifies the attention and will also explain it. If not the music, this copy is sealed with an “extensive, oversized booklet” inside. Still sealed with its’ hype sticker, no corner bumps or anything like that. Immaculate.

Wendell Harrisons’s stuff is extremely rare and is considered ‘spiritual jazz’ a la a lot of the Strata East artists, Alice Coltrane (w/ a little less of the free / improv element), etc. Even with this being a reissue, I guarantee it will age VERY well - some artists just create that thirst. I believe Harrison did so with no intent at all. See what all the fuss is about and grab this record before (like just a few years ago) it’s darn near impossible to find.
