Your completed Charlie Bear will be 35cm (13 ¾”) tall from bottom to top of head and 30cm (12”) wide from side to side

Notions for Charlie Bear

• Fabric: If you are using this pattern to make a memory bear you will need 1 medium adult short sleeve t-shirt or an equivalent amount of clothing.
• Or if you are using this pattern to make a furry teddy bear you will need 1/2 m of fur fabric, ¼m contrast fabric for the paw pads and inner ears. Please note your finished bear will look plumper than the ones pictured here as the fur will add bulk.
• Interfacing: 1/2m woven cotton iron on interfacing. I use this one
• Eyes: 15mm craft eyes / toy safety eyes
• Nose: 2 square inches of wool felt
• Smile: 20 inches of embroidery floss in a colour to match the nose felt
• Toy stuffing and a plastic chopstick, or something similar that is long with a blunt end, to insert the stuffing
• Tracing paper: 3 square inches to trace the smile template
• Plus: pins, cotton thread that matches your fabric, hand sewing needles, scissors, and pinking shears if you have them

Notions for the Coat & Hoodie

• 1/2m or 3/4 yard of fabric
• 36cm x 23cm or 14″ x 9″ iron on interfacing or a contrast fabric for the facings
• For the Coat – fastenings of your choice, I used poppers
• For the Hoodie – if you are using sweatshirt fabric a sheet of tissue paper to stop the fabric getting caught in your machine
• Plus: pins, cotton thread that matches or provides contrast with your fabric, scissors, and
• pinking shears, sewing machine, an iron
