Original 1973 Ford Mustang dash wiring harness for tach-equipped cars, correct for multiple body styles including Mach 1 and Sportsroof models.
This is an original 1973 Mustang dash wiring harness that was removed decades ago and stored indoors. It is clean overall and ready for use in a restoration or repair project. This harness includes the small instrument cluster plug used on tachometer-equipped Mustangs. The tachometer plug is integral to the harness and is shown in the photos.
This harness is correct for 1973 Mustang applications and will physically fit all 1973 body styles equipped with a tachometer, including:
01 Hardtop Coupe
02 Sportsroof Fastback
03 Convertible
04 Grande Deluxe Hardtop
05 Mach 1
It may also fit some late 1972 Mustangs, however plug compatibility may vary. Buyers planning to use this harness in anything other than a 1973 Mustang should perform their own research and verify compatibility before purchase.
The fuse block is present and shown. It is an A C provisioned fuse block, however the blower resistor wiring suggests this harness originated from a non A C car. Review the photos carefully and compare to factory diagrams to determine suitability for your application.
This harness is used and will require some repair or restoration work for full functionality or to return it to original condition.
Several prior splices and modifications were found and have NOT been repaired, leaving the harness exactly as discovered:
Evidence of an aftermarket stereo or alarm installation
Splice near the lower right dash area behind the kick panel
Splice in the main ignition harness near the steering column connector
Large black accessory feed wire with a bullet connector from a previous repair, with the wire pulled out of the connector
