Many users wish to achieve embossed printing effects with disc letterpress machines, seeking highly textured relief results. In reality, producing embossed prints involves multiple factors.
First, design must carefully control line treatment. Additionally, attempting large solid areas with embossing yields poor results. Second, select thicker cotton-based papers like specialized letterpress stock or watercolor paper.
Regardless of whether lead type, metal plates, or resin plates are used, the printing plate must possess sufficient depth. Expecting shallow plates to produce deep embossing is unrealistic. When printing full-page or large-area deep embossing, the YJ-12 model offers greater plate area and pressure, yielding superior results compared to other configurations.
