This allows all upper head components to be serviced and facilitates cylinder head replacement. Be careful not to catch the release rings during head removal.

Tool Use Method for AM-EN-48953:
Remove the timing chain guide bolt, timing chain guide plate, and timing chain tensioner.
Rotate the intake camshaft actuator to install this locking tool.
Mount the lock tool to the cylinder cover and tighten to 10 N-m.
If the intake camshaft actuator moves independently, rotate it counterclockwise; the locking tool fixes the actuator, locking it on the cam.
Loosen the intake camshaft actuator bolt and the exhaust camshaft actuator bolt.
