Частину світлин складають повстанці в уніформах, а також є фото з міжвоєнного періоду. Бо не всі могли в той час сфотографуватися, аби нам залишити світлу пам’ять. Так, першу частину складають знімки загиблих повстанців, другу – в’язнів совєтських тюрем та концтаборів.
UKRAINIAN INSURGENT ARMY in PHOTOS
This rare and richly illustrated historical photo album on 438 pages contains about 1,500 unique b/w photographs of participants in the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA), documenting their resistance and everyday life from the 1940s through the 1960s.
This album can be called a photo chronicle of the OUN, UPA, and the Ukrainian armed underground of 1940-1960. Some of the photos are of insurgents in uniform, and there are also photos from the interwar period. Because not everyone could take a picture at that time to leave us with a bright memory. Thus, the first part consists of photographs of dead insurgents, and the second part of prisoners of Soviet prisons and concentration camps.
