This beautifully crafted lidded jar was handmade by Maya Adams (now Adams-Smith) in 1999 while she was an undergraduate at the NYS College of Ceramics, Alfred University.
It is signed and dated on the base “M Adams ’99.”

Featuring an earthy brown glaze with subtle carved accents near the base and a ruffled-edge lid with a central knob, this piece exemplifies the warm, tactile quality of late-20th-century studio pottery.
