Antique 1879 Government Report Transfer of Indian Bureau to War Department
Page Count: 20
We acquired a large collection of these government reports which are printed documents from the Senate and House of Representatives regarding many different topics including pensions and claims from military conflicts (such as the Revolutionary War, War of 1812, Civil War, Span-Am War), establishing government buildings, elections, copies of letters from the President, Secretary of Treasury, Secretary of War, etc, and much more. Some of these reports include attached fold-out maps and charts, printed images, and more. These reports were bounded together in books that were published by the Government Printing Office and offered for sale. These reports date from the early 1800s to the early 1900s. Many of these books were held at the Western Reserve Historical Society in Cleveland, Ohio and were donated by the Superintendent of Documents, which were a depository of U.S. Government Publications. Over the years, these bounded books have fallen apart and these individual reports were removed (dis-bounded).
The document is in fair condition with minor wear and tear present due to age. Some slight tears may be present throughout. Some minor staining present throughout. Document has been dis-bound from a larger book. Multiple pages may be loose/separated.
Measures about 9'' by 6'' inches.
