Rare Antique Black Basalt Intaglio Seal, likely Wedgwood & Bentley, circa 1790. Beautiful faceted wax seal in black basalt cut with a stylized script monogram of “KU”. Unmarked, which is not unusual for period and type of wax seal. Comparing script of this wax seal with others that have been identified as Wedgwood and Bentley, the same foliate scrolls can be seen (refer to photos).

The seal measures approximately 1 inch high with a surface that is .75 inches in diameter.
