Significantly reduced ball speed loss on off-center hits
One common issue in putting is the noticeable drop in ball speed when the ball is struck off-center. In fact, even a 1cm deviation toward the toe or heel can lead to a 20% reduction in ball speed—resulting in a 2-meter shortfall on a 10-meter putt. To address this, Odyssey has introduced a new AI-designed insert, leveraging the same advanced technology that has already proven successful in Callaway face technologies. This insert reduces speed loss from approximately 20% to just around 5%, meaning a 10-meter putt would only fall short by about 50cm—even with a 1cm mis-hit.

Same feel as the White Hot insert
The Ai-ONE putter’s insert consists of a complex aluminum back structure, designed by AI, paired with a polymer striking surface. Initially, Odyssey considered using only polymer, but it proved difficult to replicate the intricate AI-designed contour. This led them to combine aluminum—initially recommended by AI for its shaping potential—with the polymer, successfully overcoming durability concerns. The polymer surface features grooving, specifically engineered to replicate the sound and feel of the famous White Hot insert, delivering comparable feedback at impact.

A polycarbonate window reveals the AI-designed insert structure
For the first time in a putter, the Ai-ONE introduces a unique visual feature: a transparent polycarbonate window. On blade models, it’s located on the back face, and on mallet models, on the sole—allowing users to visually appreciate the sophisticated contour of the insert’s reverse side, designed entirely by AI.

Stainless steel body with deep navy PVD finish
The body is crafted from stainless steel and finished with a rich navy PVD coating. To increase moment of inertia (MOI), approximately 15g weights are placed at both the toe and heel of the sole. 

Newly developed STROKE LAB 90 shaft

Alongside the Ai-ONE putter, Odyssey has introduced a new version of its signature STROKE LAB shaft. While the previous version featured a steel–carbon hybrid design, feedback from tour professionals highlighted a preference for full steel—but without sacrificing the stability of STROKE LAB. The new STROKE LAB 90 shaft is made entirely of steel, weighs in the 90g range, and retains the same butt diameter as the original to reduce torque and minimize unnecessary shaft movement during the stroke. Additionally, a counterweight inside the grip end increases overall MOI during the stroke.
