JRC (Japan Radio Co., Ltd.) previously sold amateur radio products such as the JST series transceivers and NRD series receivers, but the company has since withdrawn from the amateur market. Today, it focuses on professional communication equipment for maritime and aviation use.

* 0.09 – 34 MHz: AM broadcasting, amateur radio bands, NIKKEI shortwave
* 34 – 60 MHz
* 114 – 174 MHz: Air band, amateur radio, commercial use
* 423 – 456 MHz: Amateur and commercial radio
Reception confirmation (as tested):
* 612 kHz: NHK Radio 1 received
* 3.525 MHz: Amateur band received
* 118.900 MHz: Air band (Fukuoka Control) received
* 145.000 MHz: Confirmed amateur radio communication
* 433.000 MHz: Confirmed amateur radio communication

Tuning examples:
* Air band: Enter 118.9 + MHz
* NHK-AM: Enter 612 + ENT (kHz)
The tuning dial is light, so using the LOCK button helps maintain the frequency in case of accidental movement.
