How to identify genuine leather?

1. Cowhide is worked animal skin, have a natural, skin, fur smell instead of plastic-like. Faux leather is made of plastic, have a strong pungent smell . It is easier to distinguish between the two, so you can try it.

You can also use a magnifying glass to press it carefully. Very regular, even, and similar grains often indicate a machine-made piece.
