One instrument comes in a wood case that is used to store the unit when not in use.This instrument is signed on top front face of the base, “Alfred Suter Co.,N.Y." The Alfred Suter Company was founded by Alfred Suter, textile engineer, in New York City around the turn of the century. This company supplied machinery and testing equipment for the Textile Industry.This unit is in excellent cosmetic, optical and mechanical condition (see images). The optics are free of any defects.
