Vintage from Mid-20th Century Large Original Impressionistic Oil On Canvas "Forest River Landscape" By C. "Bill" Freeman, American.

C. FREEMAN, aka C. "BILL" FREEMAN (American, 1927 - 2012) grew up in West Texas on a farm just outside of El Paso.  Interestingly, he worked as a horse wrangler, fought forest fires for the U. S. Forest Service, and was a field researcher and guide for the Arizona Game and Fish Department for twlwe years in Arizona, Wyoming, and New Mexico prior to becoming an artist.  It was not until the age of 30 when Freeman decided to become an artist specializing in Western Landscapes.  Today he is considered a pioneer of Western art centered on such storied locales as Scottsdale, Arizona, as well as Jackson Hole and Grand Tetons National Park, Wyoming.  

This outstanding vintage impressionistic "Forest River Landscape" painting by American artist William "Bill" C. Freeman is the large, framed landscape that depicts a scene along the forest river flowing through a forest, showcasing an impressionistic style with a focus on nature and the Western art theme. The artwork is reminiscent of the Hudson River School, which focused on romanticized landscapes.
