Back Cover Text:
Those of you who have seen The Goins Brothers perform, know that they are excellent Bluegrass Musicians and superb entertainers. Bluegrass itself goes beyond the music and the entertainment. It brings a feeling deep down which makes you reach back for a memory from history rich in tradition. Melvin and Ray must know this because they can take an audience in their hands during a performance and recreate a feeling which is reminiscent of the very beginnings of the great radio shows and live performances of the 40's and 50's.

We at Vetco recognize this unique quality of The Goins Brothers music and wanted to capture it in the studio. We asked Buddy Griffin to produce the session. Buddy has followed Melvin and Ray's music for 25 years and was a member of The Goins Brother's Band from who knows to who knows.

We set up four microphones in the studio, and Melvin and Ray gathered the band around. As the session began there was a relaxed atmosphere, and yes, that special feeling from the old days was there. Melvin and Ray sang and played with excitement and enthusiasm. The band included John McNeely, Gerald Evans, Bell Hann, and Rick May. These fellows provided a perfect compliment to Melvin and Ray with harmony and instrumental back up on the old traditional songs which borders on reverence. They also added a variety of vocal styling on the new material. Jim Huey joined the session on Dobro and Buddy Griffin was there when needed for some fine twin fiddling.

THE RESULT--- SIT BACK AND LET THE GOINS BROTHERS TAKE YOU BACK AND LISTEN TO THE FEELING!!
