The latest installment in the “Brain Training” series, supervised by Professor Ryuta Kawashima of Tohoku University's Institute of Aging, is now available on Nintendo Switch.
With just a few minutes of training a day, anyone can enjoy exercising their brain.
The game includes classic training exercises such as “Calculation 25,” “Kanji Synthesis,” and “Sudoku,” which can be performed using the touch pen included in the package. It also features new Switch-exclusive training exercises like “Finger Calculation” and “Finger Exercises,” which use the Joy-Con's “Motion IR Camera” to recognize moving fingers, and “Bird Counting” and “Flag Raising,” where two players can compete by sharing the Joy-Con.
The familiar brain age check evaluates information processing speed, short-term memory, and inhibitory control through three tests to calculate your overall brain age.
New features to support daily training include an alarm function that notifies you of training time even when the Switch is in sleep mode, and a ranking function that lets you compete with friends on training and brain age check results.
*On Nintendo Switch Lite, the following features using Joy-Con functionality are not available: “Reaction Time Test,” “Finger Calculation,” “Finger Exercises,” “Bird Counting,” “Flag Raising,” and “Box Counting.”
