Maximizing Repulsion Efficiency
3 Point Resonance Technology

Conventional irons have difficulty maximizing distance efficiency because the "center of figure," which flexes the most on the face surface, is separated from the "center of gravity" and the actual "impact point" due to their shape. Yamaha succeeded in maximizing repulsion efficiency by placing ribs on the toe side of the iron head, bringing the "center of figure" closer to the "center of gravity" and "impact point."

TECHNOLOGY 2

Enhancing Initial Ball Speed at the Impact Point

A new material "X37," which has high strength and toughness, is used to achieve precision one-piece casting with a sole thickness of only 1.1mm. By expanding the repulsion area of the sole compared to the previous model, the amount of sole flex has increased, significantly improving the repulsion performance especially in the lower part of the face near the impact point.

TECHNOLOGY 3

Achieving Overwhelming Distance with High Trajectory

A large tungsten weight is placed at the rear of the sole (TYPE/D: 41g, TYPE/S: 77g). With an ultra-deep and low center of gravity, it achieves overwhelming distance with high trajectory.

TECHNOLOGY 4

Dedicated Wedges Corresponding to Two Models

Dedicated Wedges compatible with both TYPE/D and TYPE/S irons are available in three loft types: 42° (AW), 48° (AS), and 55° (SW). These wedges are highly recommended because their loft design is specifically matched to the irons.
