Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game is a 2024 asymmetrical multiplayer horror game by IllFonic and Teravision Games, inspired by the 1988 cult film. Available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, it features 3v7 matches in Crescent Cove. Three players as Killer Klowns use quirky weapons like popcorn bazookas to capture humans in cocoons, powering generators to unleash the Klownpocalypse. Seven human survivors scavenge for gear and aim to escape via four routes (Klownpocalypse Bunker, Boat Repair, Klown Tech Portal, Gated Condemned Exit) using items like key cards. With five Klown classes (Trapster, Tracker, Scout, Fighter, Tank) and five human classes (Athletic, Rebellious, Heroic, Resourceful, Tough), the game offers customization and hide-and-seek tactics. Minigames for eliminated players add innovation, but limited maps can feel repetitive. Its campy, chaotic vibe delivers short-lived, silly thrills.
