1994 Press Photo Nick Radovancevic demos PUR water filter, Sentinel Sports Show

This is an original press photo. Nick Radovancevic (top, left) of Adventures Unlimited, a Brookfield Outdoor equipment retailer, demonstrated a PUR scout water purification pump to Rob Tegtmeier of Menomonee Falls at the Milwaukee Sentinel Sports Show. Radovancevic pumped water froma fish tank and then demonstrated his confidence by drinking it. Tegtmeier begged off and wanted no part of it. The pump filters out organisms down to 1 micron in size. This would include Cryptosporidium. It also has an iodine resin cartridge to kill viruses. (Milwaukee Sentinel -- Sports Show) Photo measures 9.5 x 6.5 inches. Photo is dated 03-18-1994.
