1922 Press Photo Mrs. Catherine Rosier with her mother and son, after verdict
Wife Acquitted of Murder of Oscar Rosier, Advertising Genius, and Mildred Reckitt, His Stenographer. --- Free and Happy. ... are Mrs. Catherine Rosier (right), her mother, and her year-old son, Richard, photographed just after the jury had returned its verdict of Not Guilty, in Philadelphia, yesterday. Mrs. Catherine Rosier had been charged with the murder of her husband, Oscar Rosier, nationally known advertising man, and Mildred Reckitt, his stenographer, in Rosier's office. The jury brought in two verdicts - although Mrs. Rosier actually was tried only on one charge, that of killing Miss Reckitt - acquitting her of the murder of her husband, without leaving the jury box, only half an hour after, finding her not guilty of the Reckitt slaying. Mrs. Roseir, a victim of heart disease of anemia, fainted twice with joy after hearing the first verdict. Photo measures 6.5 x 8.5 inches. Photo Is dated 1922.
