Minor league hockey is a different animal, comprised mostly of young players trying to make a name for themselves, with a smattering of fringe NHLers striving to earn another call up, and older veterans who just want to play more pro hockey. The Ontario Reign played in the East Coast Hockey League from 2008-2015 before they were reassigned to the AHL. This Vintage 2008-15 ONTARIO REIGN ECHL MINOR LEAGUE SP PRO 56 HOCKEY JERSEY is in excellent, new with tags condition, with only some light scattered dark spot soiling evident (ALL pictured). Otherwise, the jersey is in excellent shape, with absolutely no rips, holes, tears, or other damage to the crisp white 100% polyester construction. Most interestingly, it's a Size 56, made in Canada, and bears the classic 2008-2015 "ONTARIO / Reign" logo patch sewn at the chest. The sweater boasts a fight strap, sports sewn shoulder and elbow reinforcements, and features the original "SP" maker's label, "PRO / 56" maker's tag, and "PRO PRACTICE HOCKEY JERSEY" barcode hang tag at the inside neck. It carries "SP" direct embroidered at the left chest as well as the back right hem, the latter next to an "ECHL" sewn patch, and is an on-ice, pro quality sweater. A beautiful example of a rare, original Vintage 2008-15 ONTARIO REIGN ECHL MINOR LEAGUE SP PRO 56 HOCKEY JERSEY. We have shown a photo of a similar jersey being worn in practice by two Ontario Reign players in 2010. Now celebrating a quarter century on eBay.
