Back Jacket Text: Richard and Patti Roberts visit—literally—more than two million homes—all across the United States and Canada—every single week. They don’t come to visit like the letter carrier, or the bill collector, or the milk man, or the Avon lady; they come like two old friends. I say “old” even though they’re still just a young couple, because they’ve been visiting all of us weekly on the “Oral Roberts and You” national telecast and on the quarterly “Oral Roberts Specials” for almost ten years. They have become like old friends!
It’s almost like we’ve watched them grow up. Do you remember when we first met them as students at the—then very young—Oral Roberts University? Then they were married . . . and now. . . well, now, we’re even seeing Christi and Juli, their two young daughters. It’s really been fun watching, hasn’t it?
But, life isn’t just a television program and during these years Richard and Patti have been living a lot of life while we weren’t watching! They’ve learned a lot about living; laughing, crying, hurting, rejoicing, hoping, wondering, dreaming, reaching out . . . holding close. . . and maybe—most of all—sharing!
They are both super singers—we’ve all known that for a long time—but more than just singing, they’re learning how to share—how to reach out—how to touch—life to life . . . through their songs and probably more important, through their lives.
