The issue lies in the shaft that holds the mixing flap, which has its own stops responsible for halting the flap in the correct positions for hot and cold air. Over time, these stops wear out, and the shaft rotates beyond its working range. Exceeding this range can lead to various issues, such as insufficiently warm or cold airflow. However, the most common problem is the shaft getting stuck—when it moves beyond the working zone, the stop gets jammed and completely blocks the mixing flap in one position. The repair kit, in turn, is a spacer between the shaft and the actuator, designed with its own stops. It takes over the functions of the worn stops, keeping the flap within the correct working range.

Please note:
This repair kit will only help if the main shaft of the mechanism is not broken. You can check this by removing the actuator motor, as shown in the video, and manually rotating the shaft. It should smoothly rotate in both directions.

Installation:
Turn off the car
Remove the kick panel
Remove the two screws holding the actuator
Take out the actuator
Install the repair kit
Ensure the shaft rotates freely and reaches the stops in both hot and cold settings
Attach the actuator using the longer screws provided in the kit
Reconnect the actuator plug
Reinstall the kick panel
Clear the fault codes
