Aero L-60 Brigadier ( czech Brigadier ) was a small, high-yield Czechoslovakian by plane utility STOL, propeller driven, developed for both civil and military The prototype, designated XL-60, with an Argus As 10C engine, first flew on 24 December 1953, but was unsuccessful. The aircraft was thoroughly redesigned, and a second upgraded prototype, with a six-cylinder M-208B engine, flew on 8 June 1954. The aircraft configuration is very similar to the Fieseler Fi 156 'Storch' produced under license in Czechoslovakia during po ww2 (as K-65 Čáp), and which aircraft was to replace. By end of production in r 1960 , 273 was built by Aero , including upgraded version, L-160 with all metal tail .
