Plot Summary:
This prequel to the Underworld series reveals the origins of the ancient war between the vampires and the Lycans (werewolves). The story centers on Lucian, the first werewolf capable of taking human form. Raised as a slave by the vampire elder Viktor, Lucian secretly falls in love with Viktor’s daughter, Sonja. As their forbidden romance is discovered, it sparks a rebellion that will lead to all-out war. Rise of the Lycans explores themes of love, betrayal, and the fight for freedom in a dark, gothic world.
