This 2007 Isle of Man 1 Crown coin was issued to commemorate Peter Rabbit.  The Tale of Peter Rabbit, was created in 1893 initially as a letter to Noel Moore, the five-year-old son of Beatrix Potter's former governess, Annie Moore. The boy was ill, and Potter wrote him a letter that included the Peter Rabbit story to help him pass the time and to cheer him up. This letter also included sketches as illustrations.

This coin is 38.6mm in diameter, is made from copper-nickel coin and is in brilliant uncirculated condition.  It was purchased directly from the Pobjoy Mint before the mint closed down in 2023, and comes in a clear plastic "Air-Tite" coin capsule.

As we are selling several of these coins, your coin may vary slightly from the one photographed, especially under magnification. The most common variation would be a very small amount of toning or discoloration, or a small nick on the rim.  Any coins that have obvious visual issues will be photographed and listed separately - coins with obvious issues will not be sold through this listing.

This coin is very difficult to find, especially in good condition and would add a special touch to any coin collection.
