Custom Made Anti-Flex Support

Seibu's SPI system was home to a small handful of great games, but they're notorious for requiring expensive repairs, or dying entirely, when they're flexed.  Every time the game cartridge is swapped, or the board is re/installed in a cabinet, there's a risk of flexing it just far enough to kill it.

I have several games for my SPI system, so I was swapping regularly.  I didn't want the stress of worrying about it, so I came up with a solution that drastically reduces or eliminates board flex when changing carts.

The mainboard is mounted to the plywood with six screws around the outside, and four more that anchor the cartridge connectors.  It makes a difference you can feel when you swap games.

There's a small risk of flexing the cartridges to, so I have also designed a replacement case.  Please see my other auctions for those.

Buyer should specify 15mm or 20mm mounting height (measure your existing PCB feet).  Custom heights are available if required.

This kit includes the bracket and four screws to mount the mainboard.  Buyer will need their own screws to mount it to the plywood.

I liked the new shells so much I took the originals off my other games, and then I thought, maybe other people might like the peace of mind that comes from a board that doesn't risk dying when you change the cartridge.
