This works.

We are currently using this to divide up the middle row of a Honda Odyssey minivan so our one dog does not anger the other. She seeks comfort from him, but he does not like that.
We have it rigged between the front right passenger headrest and the 2nd row headrest behind the driver seat to make a diagonal split thru the middle row. (The middle seat is taken out.) I did cut open the top seam and put a thin wood dowel thru to give it some structure (a standard dowel length from Home Depot is perfect). The bottom is rolled up on itself as it is a bit too tall. It works perfectly. No dog space issues now.
They do get excited and try to paw over or burrow under it, but that is after we are parked and ready to deal with it.

Easy to install and take down without damage to the car

My German shepherd insists that she would feel better if she could sit on my lap and help me drive. Her harness was no match to keep her in the back seat. While this net does not completely prevent a nose intrusion in the center console it makes for safer driving. And in case of abrupt stopping the dog doesn't end up in the front part of the car where severe injury would be likely.

Really pleased!! Do not hesitate to order this, even for cats!

I was concerned about the reviews on this product, but based on the good reviews, decided to give it a try. WOW, so-so glad I did. First of all, the quality of the mesh netting, the bindings and grommets are excellent--strong and well-made. The bungees are good and strong. We have a Honda Pilot, just fyi, and this netting fit snugly and securely, as pictured online in its description, attaching to the hand hold levers on either side above the doors. Getting in and out of the front seats presents no problem, and the seats do not have to be aligned, as there is enough play with the product to accommodate forward and back seat motion. I am not the handiest of individuals, so it took a few minutes how to figure out how to secure the bottom edges of the netting to the car. I was able to secure the bungee around the outside edge of each seat mount, then hooking into the grommets in the netting. Nice, snug fit!
So, we have one large cat. This netting fits side-to-side to the outside edge of the seats, leaving a small gap on either side between seat and door. This space could be filled with a soft pillow if it's an issue for your pet. Also, it fits so snugly along the length of the bottom edge that I can't imagine my cat being able to get underneath it. The large area between the seats (center console) is completely and securely covered. Height may be a problem, if my cat decides to leap high over the mesh barrier, as the netting reaches up to the head rests, leaving about 10" open all the way across. However, I'm really tickled with this product and it accomplishes what I'd hoped for, a strong see-through barrier.

It's worth the money.

I bought this for my Jeep Wrangler to keep my pit bull in the back of my 2-door jeep. I keep the back seat folded up and he has plenty of space. He likes to jump into the front so I needed something. I priced cargo nets but those were so expensive and the wide webbing made me wonder if I could see through the rear window. This mesh is perfect. I can see behind be day or night. It is not as tough as the webbing but he is not trying to eat through it, so it's better than the webbing for now. It comes with bungee cords, but you might need two or more extra to get it just right. I've had it a couple months and its winter, so the top has never come off the jeep. I do not see an issue with this net whenever I do take the top off, but we'll see. It's worth the money.

Great for 70 lb dog.

Love this net! It holds my 70 lb border collie back no problem. Material is strong and hasn't gotten any holes after several months of use with the dog in the car multiple times a day. I tried the metal ones but they would fall down on a bumpy road. This is secured with bungie cords so it won't ever fall down. Disclosure my dog does not try to brake thru the net.

Was not compatible with my 2012 GMC acadia. The handles/hooks in the car were not in the right places for the net to work.
