So, i don't know who all has noticed, but Horford has very quietly put together a potentially hall-of-fame career: he was the starting power forward on the back2back national champion Florida Gators in college before becoming 1 of only a handful of players in the NBA at any given point in time to win a college and pro title after he helped the Celtics to the '24 NBA crown.  In between, he made 5 all-star teams, 1 All-NBA team and 1 All-Defensive NBA team and he has 2 of the 9 seasons in NBA history where a player finished with 500 points, 150 assists, and fewer than 50 turnovers. He's on a ton of other odd-but-exclusive lists, especially for players 35 or older, and most of the other names on those lists are current or future hall-of-famers.
Now, let's talk about this jersey: Atlanta is 1 of those cities that continuously pumps out classic jerseys for every team in every sport, and this 1 doesn't get the credit it deserves ... yet. From the diamond inset fabric pattern to the tennis ball-yellow letters & numbers, this is truly 1 of a kind. It's not the jersey's fault the Hawks weren't very good the few years they wore it, but this is the original, officially licensed Adidas Swingman from a decade ago, made of 100% lightweight polyester with heat-sealed details on the front & back. These jerseys are true to size, similar to the current-day Nikes, and NOT the drastically oversized Revolution 30 Swingmans Adidas had been making prior to 2015.
