This is a larger sized footed hinged box.

Measuring 3 inches, 7.5 cm by 2.25 inches, 5.5 cm and 1.75 inch, 4.5 cm high with a vermeil hinged mount with flowered clasp.

It is attractively decorated with a traditional romantic scene of a couple in a rural setting on a peach-pink ground embellished with gold.

Golden flower swags and posies encircle the base with posies to inside lid and base.

Stamped to the base with Limoges, France, Goumot Labesse.

It is in excellent undamaged condition and the slightly uneven mount closes firmly.
