Functions of a Carburetor
The carburetor serves several important functions in engine operation:
Mixing Fuel and Air in the Correct Ratio – Ensures proper combustion for smooth performance.
Adjusting Fuel Flow Based on Engine Speed – Provides efficient fuel delivery at idle and high speeds.
Controlling Engine Power Output – Regulates acceleration and throttle response.
Providing a Stable Fuel Supply – Uses a float chamber to maintain consistent fuel levels.
Enabling Choke Function for Cold Starts – A choke valve restricts airflow to enrich the fuel mixture in cold conditions.
