1) Function: Carbon Seal keeps external water out of the hull.  This ring with the rubber boot and the metal support ring all encases the drive shaft to give it a watrproof seal.
2) High Quality: It is made of high-quality steel, rubber and graphite, which has good high temperature resistance, wear resistance and corrosion resistance.  Graphite has a high rebound coefficient and can play its role well in various environmental conditions.
3) Periodic inspection: The carbon ring seal is a wear item, please be safe and remember to check and replace regularly.  Symptoms of a broken Sea-Doo carbon ring are as follows: water in the bilge, carbon pieces/powder around the rings, cavitation in the pump, cracks and wear on the surface of the carbon ring.
