Riders often change out the Shoei CWR-F2 baseplate when they change out their shield for a new one. Changing the baseplate at the same time you change the shield, will tighten up the motion of the shield so that it feels the same as it did when it was new. Adjusting the position of the CWR-F2 base plate mechanism can improve the quality of the shield position. Small adjustments can improve how the shield opens and closes and how it aligns with the rubber seals.
