These 4  small Talavera plates are great examples of the detailed designs typical of PUEBLA, 🇲🇽 MEXICO pottery, repeating crosshatch and other patterns, ornate borders, and beautiful flowers.  "Talavera is a distinctive art form brought to Mexico by artisans from Talavera de la Reina, Spain, influenced by Moorish designs. The artisans of Puebla then incorporated Chinese designs, thus creating the blue and oyster-white patterns traditionally associated with Talavera." The plates are signed on the back."T. Arte Espinosa Pue. Mex." which indicates the pottery workshop where made. The plates were made for decorative or regular dinnerware for special occasions.
