This is an original press photo. Cheetah. In a dimly lighted hallway in the administration building at Brookfield Zoo, a small plaque holds a proud and prominent position. Presented to Brookfield by the American Assn. of Zoological Parks and Aquariums, it is the Edward H. Bean award for the "most notable birth or hatching in captivity" -- in this case the 1973 hatching of a hinge back tortoise the first ever successfully hatch in captivity. Photo measures 10.5 x 8.75 inches. Photo is dated 11-16-1974.
