Own a piece of baseball history with this full-size authentic New York Yankees helmet signed twice by 7-time All-Star and 2-time World Series champion Bob Lemon. The helmet is signed in silver sharpie by Bob in two places on the helmet. On the brim he signed his name and "Coach 78". Secondly, on the top the helmet, Bob signed his name and added "HOF 76".  The signature on the helmet has been authenticated by TCB Authentications and they have provided a COA, as well as a matching helmet sticker on the under brim of the helmet. Additionally, we will be including a photograph of Bob at the actual signing. All of this ensures its genuine nature.

Bob Lemon was originally an utility outfielder with the Cleveland Indians, but they observed his strong arm and switched him to pitcher. By 1948, Bob had become one of the best pitchers in baseball, and that year he won two games in the World Series as the Indians first Championship since 1920 (and it remains their last World Series Championship to this day.) Bob remained as one of the league's best pitchers through the 1940's and well into the 1950's. He won twenty games or more for seven consecutive seasons starting in 1948 leading the American League in wins three times and being named to the All-Star Team another three times. Bob's consistently excellent performance on the mound eventually earned his induction into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1976.

After Bob left the pitcher's mound he became involved in coaching and managing, eventually being named the Kansas City Royals Manager (1970-1972). He later managed the Chicago White Sox (1977-1978) before taking over the Yankees managerial position later in the 1978 season after Billy Martin resigned. Bob rallied the Yankees and led them to World Series victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers, allowing the Yanks to win a 2nd consecutive championship. Bob was fired by owner George Steinbrenner the following year. However, Steinbrenner rehired Bob three more times as the Yankees manager between 1981 and 1982.  During this period, Bob again managed the Yankees in the World Series, this time in a losing effort to the Dodgers. After being fired by Steinbrenner for the 4th time, Bob never managed again. He died in 2000 at the age of 79. This helmet is not just a collectible item but a symbol of Lemon's legacy in the sport and to a wild and crazy time in the history of the New York Yankees. The helmet is very rare.
