An original piece of design artwork used by Cadbury's Chocolates in the 1950s.

This appears to be a proof of concept or design piece, as when sold in the shops the design was wrapped around the box.

As you can see from the picture, the Cadbury address and weight of the product is printed upside down above the image - as this would then have been folded down on the top side of the box.

This design shows an image of Dean's Garden in Canterbury, Kent, with the Cathedral in the background.

The piece measures approx 34x27cm.

The piece has some significant signs of wear to the right edge, including tears and missing pieces. The top right corner is also missing.
