OEM BMW N20 Oil Pump Kit With Guide And Sprockets, Chains. SEE Description Etc

This is an oil pump guide, chains, and sprockets for a BMW N20 motor. We are just swapping engines and parting out parts and these parts are inspected and good to go. They aren't from a bad engine or anything, we're just going to replace the motor with another N20 engine we have because we're trying to sell the car for more money

It was still a running vehicle and these parts have many many miles ahead of them or I wouldn't be selling it because I know what a tough job it is. We've inspected each of these parts and found they are fine to reuse in another N20 engine that's having an oil pump and timing chain guide job. The main piece that breaks AND always is the culprit in these interference engines is the larger piece of the timing chain guide. Not the smaller timing chain guide or oil pump guide.

This kit also comes with the big timing chain (OEM) that was removed from the BMW X1 N20 and the chain didn't have any mechanical flaw issues, still tight and strong.

Basically all you'll need to make this complete is the larger piece of the timing chain guide.  (The top piece of the timing chain guide is included with no issues, and still REAL strong)

The three bolts that hold the oil pump guide on, and the oil pump tensioner pin. That's it you're good to go then...

The picture with the red arrow pointing at the little oil pump guide hole indicates that you'll need to use your old tensioner pin there (or new one) Also, the three old bolts that came out of your old pump guide, or buy new oil pump tensioner pin and bolts for the oil pump guide that I have here for sell in this kit.

The 3 bolts that hold the oil pump guide to the oil pump are either E8's or E10's. Not entirely sure I wasn't the one who removed the motor. Whoever is doing the job for you should know exactly what N20 oil pump tensioner pin, and 3 bolts you'll need for the oil pump guide that I'm referring to. It's been a year or so since I've rebuilt an N20 engine.

I'm leaning more to them being 3 of the E8 bolts opposed to the E10's. Obviously make sure they're the correct bolts that hold the oil pump guide to the pump. If you're just reusing the bolts that came out of your old oil pump guide then you already know the size, and you're good to go.

This kit also comes with top OEM piece for timing chain guide, and bottom smaller timing chain sprocket that mounts in front through to the oil pump that your big bolt that turns the motor over comes through both that smaller timing chain sprocket and larger oil pump sprocket mounts behind it.

Your mechanic will know by my instructions here what I'm referring to. If not make sure you definitely know what you're doing before attempting such a big job. It's not easy I've done it before.

If you have the entire motor out then you won't have to worry about mounting your timing chain until after you've installed the oil pump and have it back into the vehicle with the oil pump already entirely installed.

You'll have to fish the chain with little timing chain sprocket down the front part of the motor then line up the big bolt and get it all set up to torque.

If you're not exactly sure and never done this job YouTube it or something (there are plenty of videos there) One in particular is by FCP EURO on the BMW N20 timing chain job. That is of course if you don't have a mechanic performing the job and new to this job.

Make sure you have the BMW N20 MOTOR before ordering these parts....This will fit BMW X1, 328i, several more models of the N20 engine. Check the fitment here on eBay to see if it fits yours.

Thanks we appreciate your business.
