OLD COMMONPLACE BOOK Circa 1920s

With Pen & Ink Cartoons by E. G. Draper

This is a small autograph book dating to circa 1920s in which an E. G. Draper has used for drawing cartoons and drawings, along with some cut outs of 1920s film stars. The book measures 5 inches by 4 inches approx., with around 40 used pages.

Some are First World War Cartoons inspired by the work of the cartoonist Bert Thomas, others are caricatures of well-known people of the day

And one of Walt Disney’s Mickey Mouse

The books cover has some edge rubbing wear, internally the inner front joint has been strengthened with tape (see pictures)

All the used pages are pictured so content and condition can be seen
