USA-made. 3D-printed PETG. Air-pruning mesh bottom. Bonsai Shoes training pots are designed and printed in the United States from premium PETG — strong, UV-resistant, and unfazed by water, chemicals, and cold [only about 10–15% more brittle in freezing weather]. The thick walls insulate roots from heat and cold snaps.
A sleek oval with clean, simple modern lines — the all-rounder of the Modern series. Suits just about any tree that belongs in an oval: pines, junipers, maples, elms.
The bottom is a raised air-pruning mesh: water and oxygen flow freely, and root tips that reach it stop and branch back into a dense, fibrous root ball instead of circling the pot. A single air/drainage port in the lower perimeter wall adds extra exchange, while the solid walls keep the soil from drying out too fast.
Shoe size = the pot's largest exterior dimension in inches [usually the width across the top]: a size 10 is 10" wide, a size 8 is 8" wide, and so on. As a rule of thumb, pick a pot about two-thirds the height of your tree for upright styles, or match the pot's width to the tree's canopy spread.
