IV. Common Faults and Replacement Recommendations

Typical Fault Symptoms:

Engine vibration, unstable idling, difficulty starting in cold weather, weak acceleration, black smoke

Increased fuel consumption, large return fuel volume, sluggish acceleration, decreased power

Fault Codes: P0201–P0204, P0263, P0089, P1201

Replacement Tips: For single-unit faults, it is recommended to replace the entire assembly, or replace the valve assembly (9308-621C) or injector (L138PBD) separately to reduce costs.

During replacement, the cylinder head seat hole and high-pressure fuel passage must be cleaned to prevent impurities from entering.

After installation, use a common rail tester to check the injection pressure, injection quantity, and return fuel volume.

V. Installation and Precautions

Installation Torque: Injector retaining nut 25±3 Nm (Do not overtighten to prevent valve body deformation)

Installation Points: Clean the cylinder head mounting surface thoroughly to remove carbon deposits and metallic impurities.

Inspect the injectors for any bumps or damage, ensure the gaskets are intact, and check the nozzles for deformation.

During installation, gently press the nozzles vertically into place to avoid misalignment, which could lead to poor sealing.

The copper gaskets must be replaced with brand new ones to prevent air and oil leaks.
