Evolution of the RP driver to the 4th generation

The fourth generation of RP technology's fully-driven planar diaphragm driver, which has been improved over the past 50 years, features an increased number of magnets that sandwich the diaphragm and a newly designed pattern shape for the printed coil in order to expand the vibration area of the planar diaphragm and make it more uniform. By focusing on the behavior of the diaphragm, the parts that make up the magnetic circuit have been newly shaped to optimize the magnetic flux distribution and control the planar diaphragm, thereby suppressing unwanted resonance and achieving sharp rise and fall. The fourth-generation driver, developed by fully introducing various technologies cultivated to date, simultaneously achieves improved sensitivity, smooth frequency response, and excellent transient characteristics, and reproduces accurately and delicately from heavy bass to high frequencies, thereby further improving the ability to accurately localize and reproduce the sound field.

Symmetrical housing shape to reduce differences in sound quality

The left-right housing is symmetrical in shape to minimize differences in sound quality. The 3.5mm connector, which allows the cable to be switched between left and right depending on the usage environment, is also compatible with balanced connections, enhancing usability and versatility. The cable uses a high-quality sound OFC conductor.　Optional balanced cables are available: ET-RP2.5BL (2.5 mm dia.), ET-RP4.4BL (4.4 mm dia.), and ET-RPXLR (XLR).

Comfortable earpads

The earpads are low-resilience, around-the-ear type, for a comfortable fit even during long hours of listening.
