The "negative work of ankle joint plantar flexion torque," a common indicator of triceps extensor contraction, was measured in an experiment using external subjects. The "negative work of ankle joint plantar flexion torque" was compared between products with the Smooth Speed Assist function and those without the function (in-house) during race pace running (16 to 20 km/h), and it was confirmed that the value was reduced in the product with the function. Effects and feelings may vary from person to person.
New midsole material x Smooth speed assist
The MIZUNO NEO VISTA is the pinnacle training shoe developed for runners who train hard every day in preparation for races.
Equipped with a newly developed midsole and Smooth Speed Assist Technology (SSA) in common with the WAVE REBELLION series. It supports more efficient and low-impact running. Compared to the WAVE REBELLION series, which is designed for racing and has stronger assistance, the SSA design is adjusted for jogging and training scenes, making it easy to use regardless of speed and distance.
From daily jogging to high-intensity point practice, this training shoe is gentle on the feet yet can handle high-speed training.
■Sole
The midsole foam is equipped with the newly developed MIZUNO ENERZY NXT. A new functional material that is softer, more resilient, and lighter than the conventional MIZUNO ENERZY foam. A two-layer construction with a fiberglass-reinforced nylon WAVE PLATE sandwiched between the midsole. The plate makes it suitable for speed practice.
Thick midsole with 40mm over heel provides sufficient cushioning and resilience.
■Upper
Soft knit upper gently conforms to and wraps around the runner's foot. Seamless upper with bootie construction provides an optimal fit for training, while minimizing the number of parts contributes to weight savings.
