Introduction
【 The Hammerhead that won the Monaco GP 】
When the Tyrrell team entered the F1 race in 1968, they used a Matra Ford as their team machine.
The following year, Jackie Stewart was already crowned champion.
Then, in the 11th race of the year, the Canadian GP, ??the team introduced the Tyrrell 001, which was equipped with a DFV engine and a chassis designed by the team itself.
In 1971, the first year of full participation with the original machine, the 003 for J. Stewart and the 002 for second driver Francois Cevert were completed.
While the car had a unique form with a flat integrated nose and front wing and a radiator located underneath, it used conventional mechanisms to ensure high reliability.
That year, J. Stewart won six of the 11 races, including the pole-to-finish Monaco GP, and was crowned champion for the second time, bringing the team the title.
The Monaco GP version of the Tyrrell 003, nicknamed the "Hammerhead" for its unique shape, is revived in 1/12 big scale.
[Model Specifications]
●This is a plastic model assembly kit that reproduces the 1971 F1 champion car, the Monaco GP version of the Tyrrell 003, in 1/12 scale.
●Length 345mm, width 170mm, height 70mm.
●The distinctive form of the car, such as the flat nose and rounded body sides, is reproduced exactly as it is in the actual car.
●The steering wheel and front wheels work together.
●The upper part of the body is removable.
●The suspension incorporates coil springs and operates as smoothly as in the actual car.
●The DFV engine is precisely finished with piping and wiring.
●Front and rear brake discs, radiator, oil cooler, quick fasteners, seat belt fittings, etc. are provided as etched parts, and the mirror stays are metal parts.
●Inlay marks are used on the meter rings and side mirror surfaces.
●Slide marks are made by Cartograf.
